Crack Tooth Syndrome – What is it, How to Diagnose it and How to Manage it
📅 25th March 2026
⌚ 7 – 8pm
Join us and Dr Noland Naidoo, Practice limited to Prosthodontics and Endodontics, to bring clarity and confidence on the often challenging topic of cracked tooth syndrome. It will explore our current understanding of cracked teeth, with a focus on improving diagnostic accuracy and supporting thoughtful, conservative management wherever possible.
You will learn how to distinguish between craze lines, enamel cracks, dentinal cracks, and vertical root fractures using contemporary classification systems. The session will also explore typical and atypical symptom patterns, including the clinical significance of pain on release – helping you to recognise subtle but important diagnostic clues.
Together we will assess the limitations of common diagnostic tests such as bite tests, transillumination, staining, and CBCT imaging, encouraging careful interpretation rather than over-reliance on any single test. Key prognostic factors affecting pulpal and periodontal outcomes will also be discussed to support balanced, biologically informed decision-making.
After this webinar, we aim for you to feel more confident selecting appropriate management options -whether monitoring, cuspal coverage, endodontic treatment, or extraction based on structural and pulpal status.
