Orthodontic Treatment Options

We understand that life can be busy. With the aid of cutting-edge technology such as Dental Monitoring, we offer new-generation treatment options that fit around you and your lifestyle including:

Aligner Therapy

Aligner therapy gives you the option to straighten your teeth discreetly. These aligners, also referred to as invisible braces, work over a period of time – determined by our orthodontic clinician– to discreetly straighten your teeth into their ideal position.

We use a number of aligner brands such as Angel Aligners, Suresmile and Invisalign®.

  • Discreet: Clear plastic aligners make treatment virtually invisible.
  • Precision Fit: Hand-polished and shaped for optimal comfort and effectiveness.
  • Removable: Easily remove aligners for eating, drinking and oral hygiene.

Clear Braces

If you’re looking for a discreet alternative to traditional fixed braces, clear braces are a great option for you. Clear braces work just like traditional fixed braces, except the brackets are made of ceramic instead of metal. The ceramic is durable and tooth-coloured, so it will blend in with the natural colour of your smile.

  • Discreet Appearance: Tooth-coloured ceramic brackets blend with the natural colour of teeth.
  • Stain Resistant: Ceramic material resists staining, maintaining a discreet appearance throughout treatment.
  • Retainer Maintenance: Ensuring long-lasting results with properly fit retainers.

Fixed Braces

The ‘original’ orthodontic treatment, fixed braces have changed a lot since the very first models; they are smaller, more discreet, more comfortable and more effective. Using a system of brackets, archwires and elastics, traditional braces are made of metal and are fixed to the front of each tooth with a strong adhesive. A metal archwire runs through the brackets, which are all held together with elastic bands.

  • Effective: Provides precise control over tooth movement for comprehensive treatment.
  • Customisable: Brackets and wires can be personalised to match your preferences.
  • Suitable for All Ages: Effective for patients of all ages, from children to adults.

Lingual Braces

Another discreet alternative are our lingual braces. Bonded behind the teeth making them truly invisible. Lingual braces are customised to each individual treatment.

  • Customised brackets: provide precise control over the tooth movements for comprehensive treatment.
  • Invisible: cannot be seen in your smile.
  • Suitable for teens and adults.

Early Orthodontic Treatment

There are steps that can be taken to guide your child’s growing smile that can often reduce the cost and length of orthodontic treatment that they may need in their teenage years.

  • Early treatment also provides an opportunity to:
  • Guide incoming teeth into the proper position, including the alignment of lower jaws.
  • Regulate the width of your child’s jaws.
  • Lower the risk of trauma to protruding front teeth.
  • Correct thumb-sucking habits.

Your child may not be ready for orthodontic treatment at this age, and our specialist team will only recommend treatment if it is necessary. We would suggest that your child’s teeth and jaws are monitored regularly by their dentist to determine the best time to begin treatment.

What Our Patients Say...

Sarah’s Story

Even though people would say to me that I had a nice smile – my front teeth are straight and I have had them whitened in the past – I was actually really unhappy with my smile. Now that I have finished treatment, the results definitely match my expectations.

Orthodontics FAQs

  • If you are wearing braces or a retainer, we would recommend that you brush and floss your teeth after every meal using a toothpaste that contains fluoride.
  • If you are wearing braces, please avoid eating sticky and chewy foods as you risk breaking or getting food stuck in your braces.
  • If you wear retainers, you must remove them before eating.

No, you do not require a referral from your dentist to have orthodontic treatment with us. Simply complete the contact form on the website to enquire today.

Yes, you can pay in instalments by debit card.

Dental Monitoring is a cutting-edge app that allows us to remotely track your orthodontic treatment progress. So, instead of coming into the practice for regular adjustment appointments, you can send us a picture of your smile through the App, wherever you are.

Aligner treatment uses a series of clear plastic trays called aligners – these aligners are virtually invisible and work to gently move your teeth over time to create a beautiful and straight smile.

As every patient’s course of treatment is different, our specialist orthodontists will advise you on how often you should change your aligners. Usually 7, 10 or 14 days.

If you have missing teeth or crowns you can still wear braces. A tooth with a crown will move in a similar manner as a normal tooth with a simple filling. Orthodontic treatment will aid the alignment of remaining teeth.

There are a few tell-tale signs that your child needs to see an orthodontist, such as:

  • Early or late loss of baby teeth.
  • Crowded or poorly positioned teeth.
  • Jawbones that shift or make noise.
  • Difficulty chewing or biting.
  • Teeth that don’t meet together when biting.
  • Jaws and teeth that are out of proportion to their face.
  • Finger-sucking habits that continue beyond the age of six/mouth breathing/open bite.
  • Deep bite
  • Proclined teeth/teeth that stick out.

Not all signs of orthodontic issues are obvious. Thanks to our expertise and cutting-edge technology, we can diagnose and treat problems before they become apparent.
