As Research and Audit Coordinator, you will be responsible for executing audits as part of Vermilion’s internal audit and controls programme. You will execute audit procedures to assess operational and internal controls to safeguard company resources and ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of operations at the Practice. You will make recommendations for improvement of controls and processes to ensure risk management, and will safeguard control and governance systems to meet the Vermilion objectives and goals.

Responsibilities 

  • Review and audit dental records for accurate procedure following BDA (British Dental Association) guidelines
  • Review dental software to determine if notetaking, consent, risk management and diagnosis processing are being performed in an accurate and timely manner by Vermilion’s clinicians
  • Inform Vermilion’s clinicians and dental hygienists when deficiencies in documentation and communications are identified
  • Track and report on clinicians and dental hygienists with regard to certain common provider and team documentation errors
  • Ensure notes are accurate in regard to proper consent forms, signed treatment plans, efficient chart notes, etc
  • Identify and use techniques to identify improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of the Vermilion processes
  • Ensure every patient has completed paperwork, updated medical histories, etc. and these are uploaded onto the clinical software
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Qualifications and Skills 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Health Care Administration, Health Policy, Business Administration, science or related field or equivalent experience
  • Project management skills including strong analytical capacity
  • Solid writing skills
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task responsibilities and to manage workloads to established deadlines
  • Strong ability to organise, analyse and solve problems with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in handling information in a confidential manner and maintain compliance with the BDA guidelines
  • Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all staff

1 Every two years, you will receive an extra day of holiday up to a maximum of five days

3 T&Cs – staff must be part of the pension scheme
4 T&Cs – proof of gym membership must be presented to your line manager. Money will be paid within your salary each month
